Android 13 will land in 2023 on your Nothing Phone (1)

Recently deployed by Google, the brand new Android 13 is currently available on select Pixels only.

Third-party smartphones will be compatible gradually, but not before 2023 for the Nothing Phone (1).

Available for a few weeks now, the Nothing Phone (1) has an interface based on Android 12. Over the weeks and months, many Android smartphones will be able to migrate to version 13 of the Google OS. On the side of Nothing, we have already confirmed that the migration to Android 13 is not planned for 2022.

The firm explains: We work tirelessly to improve the experience of Phone (1) users. As for Android 13, it will be launched for Phone (1) users in the first half of 2023. But before launching it, we want to adjust the software update to Nothing’s hardware. A very wise decision on the part of Nothing, which does not want to take the risk of offering a premature and possibly bug-ridden version of Android 13.

The brand nevertheless promises the availability of various updates aimed at constantly optimizing the user experience. We imagine that the Glyph light technology will benefit from some optimizations in the coming weeks, but as for Android 13, the latter may not be available before the beginning of summer 2023, therefore.
