Google is testing a dark theme for its web search engine

Many websites today offer a dark theme that automatically adjusts to the operating system’s theme setting. Google’s web search engine will join the crowd as more and more users have come up with a dark theme in an A/B test.

A dark gray background is used, with light blue links and light gray text. However, the fact that some have already developed the dark theme does not say much about when it will be released to everyone, as Google sometimes tests changes for a longer period of time.

Many Google homepages lack dark themes, but support is already available in Keep, YouTube and YouTube Music, for example.
