Google’s first budget mobiles, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, have now received their last updates. It is not clear what actions the updates contain, but the duo should have reached the final station.
The phones were released in early summer 2019 and are no longer covered by the promised three-year period. The Pixel 3a and 3a XL join the original Pixel, as well as the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3, which have also stopped receiving updates.
If a proposal from the EU is voted in, manufacturers will have to send out security updates to phones for five years.
