Google sends out October update, may be last for Pixel 4

Pixel 4 and later models in the series have received the October update which includes nine specific bug fixes and improves stability. This could be the last update for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, as it’s now been three years since the phones were released.

Google offers five years of security updates starting with the Pixel 6, but the extended update period does not apply to older models. Among other things, the update fixes a bug that could cause dissonance during calls with wired headphones, as well as various bugs and crashes in Android 13.
