Grey’s Anatomy: Ellen Pompeo comments character death in the medical series

Because this is the 17th season of Grey’s Anatomy (Grey’s Anatomy), it was to be expected that fans were already used to losing their favorite characters. However, it never gets easier and, after the unexpected death of Andre DeLucca in the last episode, even actress Ellen Pompeo spoke out about the script.

In a post on Instagram, Pompeo thanked fellow cast member Giacomo Gianniotti for his professionalism on set and for being a great friend. In addition, she also took the opportunity to praise Gianniotti’s talent and invite him to dinner whenever she wants. “Tuo amico per semper”, concluded the actress.

Grey’s Anatomy Actor Answers Ellen Pompeo’s Comment

On his own page, Giacomo reposted the photo published by the actress who plays Meredith Gray in the series. “Our friendship will last forever and this journey with you was amazing. I will always miss acting with you. See how much you care about Grey’s Anatomy after so many years it was inspiring and an honor,” wrote the actor.

In season 17 of Grey’s Anatomy, doctors at Grey-Sloan Hospital are dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Ellen Pompeo’s character is intubated after complications from the disease and, when she wakes up, will have to deal with the death of her lover.

Even after his character’s death, Gianniotti will still direct one of the next episodes and may even be part of another episode, as Meredith hallucinates her loved ones while she’s unconscious.
