How Google and Samsung could sabotage the iPhone 13 launch

This September should be very interesting. As we mentioned in several articles, normally, Apple should lift the veil on the iPhone 13 and its variants very soon.
In 2020, because of the Covid-19, the Cupertino company postponed the presentation of the iPhone 12 to October. But this year, the presentation of the iPhone 13 should take place this September, as tradition dictates.
For the time being, Apple has yet to announce a date for its next keynote. Nevertheless, according to some indiscretions, the iPhone 13 series could be released on September 17th. Other dates are circulating, but in any case, fans ofApple would not have to wait very long.
And in addition, the competitors of the Cupertino company should also present new models this September. And among the devices that could try to steal the show from the iPhone 13 is the Pixel 6.
Pixel 6: a September 13 release?
In a recent article, the Android Authority site relays a rumor from Chinese social network Weibo indicating that Google may launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro on September 13. For the moment, the Mountain View firm has not yet formalized a date. Nevertheless, a release on September 13 would allow these two new smartphones to overshadow the new iPhones.
Remember that with the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro, the smartphones of Google will experience a significant evolution. Indeed, instead of using a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, they will be equipped with a Tensor chip designed by Google which is rumored to be manufactured by Samsung.
Why a personalized chip? First of all, like Apple, Google could have more control over its hardware. But above all, this chip should be more optimized for features based on artificial intelligence, which will have an impact on many areas, including the quality of photos.
In addition to this new chip, many hardware improvements should also be planned. And the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are expected to have a higher end positioning which is definitely going to affect pricing.
For its part, Samsung has already unveiled its new smartphones folding. And for now, indicators suggest that these models are selling very well compared to those of 2020. Nevertheless, the Korean giant could also present the Galaxy S21 FE this September.
Certainly the Galaxy S21 FE will have a slightly more modest technical sheet compared to the Galaxy S21, but thanks to its more affordable price, this model could be one of the smartphones Samsung’s most popular premiums.
