More people get access to the emoji row in Gboard

More people have reportedly gained access to the new emoji row in Google’s virtual keyboard Gboard, although the beta version of the app still appears to be required. The line is contextual and only appears in certain apps, such as WhatsApp.
Curiously, the same pictograms are listed for all users, at least in the current implementation, instead of the most recently used figures or based on what the user types. The row can be hidden if desired.
Some users have also set up a dark and light theme setting in Gboard, so that this workaround no longer needs to be used. You can choose to follow the system-wide setting, or specify a light or dark theme.
Whether the setting is visible is controlled via the server side and most people don’t seem to have found the option yet.
