Motorola One Action Defies Camera's Limits

It’s the Android smartphone that wants to “touch” the GoPro. It’s called Motorola One Action and I was recently introduced in Brazil, one of the largest international bastions of the company. Now we get to know the trump cards of this Android smartphone which is expected to cost around 260 euros in Europe.
Is this the perfect smartphone to shoot action-packed videos in between? Here’s the answer…
It was last Friday that Motorola unveiled to the world this new Android smartphone. Incidentally, chose to do so in the Brazil, thus also honoring its fans and consumers. Now we have before us a new device that wants to rival action cameras (action cams) of the market, but can it?
The new Motorola One Action smartphone has arrived
With a glass front and acrylic back, the smartphone employs a 6.3 inch screen. Then we find a Full-HD + IPS LCD panel with 1080 x 2520 pixels, plus the 21: 9 aspect ratio. In short, we can count on a density of 432 pixels per inch in Motorola’s new bet.
Motorola One Action has Samsung Exynos 9609 processor. In practice, we have here an octa-core SoC with maximum frequencies of 2.2 GHz. It also has 128 GB of internal storage and a total of 4 GB of RAM in the latest product of North American technology.
Then we can see now some of its assets, namely the main chamber. This is a 12 MP, f / 1.2, 16 MP, f / 2.2 camera and finally a third 5 MP sensor. The latter adds depth of field information and assists in blurring the background.
Interestingly, Motorola ranks it as a rival to the action cam, or action chambers. Something that materializes in a strong stabilization, even though it is mostly electronic, as well as the use of a wide angle lens. Incidentally, this wish is embodied in the product name “One Action”.
The bold premise of the new Android smartphone
Motorola One Action also has a 12 MP front camera hidden on your screen. That is, we are facing a display pierced by an eyepiece dedicated to the front camera. However, the highlight is its rear camera and the ability to shoot tough scenes such as extreme sports.
The smartphone is also equipped with a 3500 mAh capacity battery. It is therefore a large capacity cell with a fast charging at 10 W. It promises to power the device for at least one demanding day or more with more moderate or balanced use.
Interestingly, the absence of optical image stabilization (OIS) does not seem to prevent him from excelling in photography and video. Take, for example, the video immediately above where the low light conditions and the main moving subject are explored. Hopefully such quality will reach the consumer.
Still within the new Android smartphone are several software assets and creative options. Something that will give users the possibility to capture, for example, a Timelapse or time lapse with Motorola One Action. In addition, you can also enjoy the Cinemagraph which animates a sequence of photos.
The smartphone also has Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, plus FM radio. We also have a Type C USB port, while your fingerprint reader is on the back, specifically the Motorola “M” logo. Its design can be considered current as well as elegant.
The right bet for 260 euros?
Finally, we do not have a definite date for its debut in the domestic market, although we know that its recommended selling price will be around 260 euros. So if Motorola One Action can do everything it promises, it will be a bet to recommend.
Especially when considering two-year guaranteed system upgrades, while security upgrades extend over three years. Could this be Motorola’s right bet for European markets too?
