Nothing confirms that the company is working on a smartphone

Nothing has confirmed during this afternoon’s event that the company is working on a smartphone. In true OnePlus spirit, details of the phone will be revealed gradually over the coming months.
The device will receive a full presentation this summer. Nothing says that the phone is powered by a Snapdragon processor and that it will have an “iconic design”. A guess is that the back cover or some other detail will be partially transparent.
Carl Pei believes that Nothing is now creating “the most attractive alternative to Apple” and plans to build an ecosystem of products that work well together. The software will consist of a system called “Nothing OS” with the best of standard Android.
The images above are unfinished concept images of the interface, with Nothing’s distinctive aesthetic. The device will receive three years of OS updates and four years of security updates. What do you think of Nothing’s first mobile?
