These cloud services that we are talking about provide us with a huge number of benefits when it comes to mass storage of content. In many cases, it is no longer necessary to use USB sticks or a DVD, for example, to carry with you content from one place to another. We can upload them to the cloud and we will have access to them from any PC, mobile phone or anywhere in the world, all you need is a browser.
Some companies offer us reserved space on their servers for free, while others offer it to us for a fee. But with all this, the most common is that they offer us a certain space for free, and in order to expand it, we have to start paying a monthly payment or annuity.
This is the case of OneDrive, which we’ll talk about below, and what Microsoft presents to us when they have an account. Well, as usual, this is the app that comes with Windows 10 , comes with a default configuration that we want to change for various reasons, the OneDrive features we talk about below.
Automatic creation of photo albums
By default, OneDrive is set up and prepared to automatically create photo albums when you upload content. But it is quite possible that we ourselves will want to manage these files and order them. Therefore, to disable this feature that we are commenting on, we put ourselves in the app under the Settings / Options menu. This will open a personal website in our default browser, where we now click “Photos”.
Check available space or hire more
How could it be otherwise, one of the most important sections when we talk about storage space in the cloud is space itself. Firstly Microsoft offers us 5 concerts for free here … To check what we have for free and hire more if we need it, on the configuration screen we go to the “Manage storage” section.
Here we see what we left free, and in order to hire something more additional skill, we only need to click on link called Improvement.
Manage OneDrive notifications
On the other hand, we also have to customize or adapt to our needs the control over Notifications which will come to us from the OneDrive features. By default, the platform sends us these messages every time a change is made to common files , or events related to photographs. Well, if we are not interested in this, so as not to disturb us, we will deactivate them in the Notifications section.
Change Office File Formats
If we consider that this Microsoft service works in conjunction with the Office software package, the files we create can be conveniently stored here. Of course, it could also be that we want the default format for the files we create in Word , Excel or PowerPoint , what we achieve under Formats: Office File.
