OnePlus could make Nord a brand in its own right

It’s been two years now that OnePlus has been offering a range of smartphones under the name “Nord”.
Today, various sources seem to indicate that the manufacturer would like to make Nord a brand in its own right.
The Nord brand soon to be detached from OnePlus?
In 2020, OnePlus launched its brand new smartphone, the Nord, which allowed the Chinese firm to return (in force) to the mid-range smartphone market. For her, it was then a question of going back to basics, by offering a terminal that was both powerful and affordable, like the famous ” flagship killer ” of the time. Since then, the Nord range has greatly expanded, and OnePlus would have the idea of distinguishing the range from the rest of its products.
According to various sources reported by The Mobile Indian, OnePlus would like to make Nord a brand in its own right, with its own visual identity, stores and dedicated staff. It would be themed light blue, and the existing OnePlus branding would not be used in future Nord devices.
Nord would therefore become independent, but could also expand its catalog, with smartphones of course, but also fitness bracelets, smartwatches, external batteries and even Smart TVs. The future brand could also benefit from a dedicated ecosystem, with a new interface obviously inspired by OxygenOS. Finally, still according to these same rumours, the North brand would see a large part of its team located on the side of India. Case to follow.
