OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently confirmed that his company will be working on a second 5G phone before the end of 2019. This 5G enabled phone could possibly be the OnePlus 7T. Based on the previous product sequences and schedules, this would be at least the next logical step for the Chinese company.

In December are on Twitter Pictures emergedwho were supposed to be showing OnePlus’s “first 5G smartphone.” The device, which could be seen there in the hands of the company boss, had a circular camera module on the back.

Later, however, OnePlus presented the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G as the company’s first 5G smartphone. The phone on the then leaked photo from a meeting did not suit this smartphone and this possible prototype of a OnePlus device fell into oblivion. Now, however, a new render image is available online, showing this mysterious smartphone again.

Is it the OnePlus 7T?

The well-known Leaker Evan “@evleaks” Blass has this render of the unknown device Twitter divided and added the tweet to the original thread by Ishan Agarwal, who first showed the smartphone. However, Evan’s account is now private and he does not currently accept any followers.

Evan posted this picture without any further comments. Given the facts, we assume that it could in fact be the not yet announced OnePlus 7T Pro. The “T” models have been part of OnePlus’ product line for two years now, so a OnePlus 7T Pro is also likely in the fall, with the smartphone’s first live photo taken in December 2018 Twitter divided. The manufacturers are planning smartphones much earlier than the average consumer commonly accepts. Therefore, the 7T was most likely still in development prior to the launch of the OnePlus 7. Surprising, however, is the fact that OnePlus makes such a radial design change on a “T” variant, so far, OnePlus has made “outward” changes to the “T” models rather discreetly and has focused on improvements or technical upgrades over the “T” model. Not “-T model focused.

It remains to be seen whether it really is the OnePlus 7T. At this time, there is no secured information for the development of this device. We assume that we will soon learn more about the presentation of OnePlus TV.
