Since its announcement last May, the PixelWatch was able to be relatively discreet. But as we fast approach its release date, the first connected watch Google is slowly starting to reveal its secrets to us.

A few weeks after lifting the veil on its very first connected watch, Google seems to be preparing a set of colored bracelets to dress up its Pixel Watch.

Pixel Watch: the first “Made in Google” connected watch

Unveiled at Google I/O 2022, which took place last month, the Pixel Watch will be the very first connected watch to emerge from the Mountain View company. Sporting very rounded shapes, this watch will run on Wear OS and will embed the most popular Google services within it. And like most connected watches on the market, the Pixel Watch will obviously not neglect the health and sport part, since it will also integrate Fitbit technologies.

But among Google’s promises when the Pixel Watch was announced, there was the possibility of personalizing its connected watch according to its desires. Good news, a few weeks later, the media 9to5Google tells us a little more about the plans of the American firm in terms of customization.

Extensive customization for your Pixel Watch?

When it was announced, the Pixel Watch was only shown in one type of silicone strap. This is the model that will be offered by default for sale and will be available in several colors. However, it seems that Google is currently preparing no less than seven different types of bracelets:

  • A stainless steel mesh bracelet
  • A link bracelet
  • Two leather straps (light and dark)
  • A fabric strap
  • A stretch wristband
  • A silicone wristband

Like the Apple brand with its Apple Watch, Google seems to want to offer many possibilities to its customers in terms of personalization. Enough to dress up your Pixel Watch according to your style and preferences, both in terms of aesthetics and comfort. On the other hand, it is still impossible to know if all of these bracelets will be available from the launch of the Pixel Watch.

As a reminder, the very first connected watch from Google is expected to be released next fall, at the same time as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
