Presidential 2022: Instagram, Konbini and content creators encourage young people to vote

To encourage the younger generation to go to the polls during the presidential elections on 10 and 24 April next, instagram partners with Konbini and four influencers to launch an awareness campaign.
While we are now ten weeks away from the first round of the presidential election, Instagram formalized this Tuesday a partnership with the online media Konbini and the agency Smile Conseil, which works with influencers and content creators. It is precisely by harmonizing all these beautiful people that the social network of the Meta group intends to encourage young people to register on the electoral lists, to make their voices heard in the first and second rounds, next April.
According to the Ifop poll carried out for the Sunday newspaper published on December 12, more than half of 18-30 year olds do not intend to vote in the presidential elections. So of course, we can imagine the impact that, together, a privileged social network for young people, a pure-player media very popular among 18-34 year olds and an agency that specializes in content creators who also reach a young audience.
Since this Tuesday 1er February and until February 26, Instagram and Konbini have launched a campaign called “Ça vote”, which will live through four videos produced in collaboration with as many content creators and influencers.
Instagram and Konbini called on Vargasss92 (1.4 million Instagram followers), Sally (655,000 followers), Alexandre Gigow (540,000 followers) and Laura Petard (426,000 followers) to embody this content. These videos will allow them to dialogue with their community and engage in an awareness-raising exercise anywhere in France, in Marseille, Dunkirk, Strasbourg or Montpellier.

Pop-ups that will be relayed in various forms on Instagram
The videos will take the form of vox pops which will be available on the Instagram account of the four influencers as well as on that of Konbini, followed by 2.3 million people. They will also be available in Reels and in Stories on the social network. Instagram will also extend the experience by inserting a “Go vote” filter on its platform from the beginning of March.
” This collaboration with Konbini and content creators whose voice carries with their communities on Instagram demonstrates our desire to support French youth in the exercise of their civic engagement. By supporting the participation of as many people as possible in the next elections, we want to help everyone to make their voice heard and to become an actor in the citizen debate. “said Meta France public affairs manager Elisa Borry-Estrade.
For David Creuzot and Lucie Beudet, founders and presidents of Kobini, who talk about the role of spokespersons for youth and the diversity of their media, the goal of this campaign is to ” to make this generation visible and to amplify its voice. We go to meet them to collect their expectations regarding the presidential elections so that their voices count in the debates and at the ballot box. “.
