RDNA 3: AMD makes an “announcement of the announcement” of the Radeon RX 7000s

Because all the spotlight should not be exclusively focused on NVIDIA and its new graphics cards.
While all eyes are on the GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 just announced by NVIDIA, AMD is trying to get us to understand something, but, frankly, we have no idea what it could be… And you ?
Joking aside, and while it is currently preparing the launch of the Ryzen 7000 (September 27, let’s remember), AMD will definitely have a busy year 2022 with new graphics architecture.
RDNA 2 will effectively be replaced by RDNA 3, which will find its way into what everyone is already calling the Radeon RX 7000s. which will not be just a presentation.
Indeed, the manufacturer has mentioned nothing less than the launch of its new generation of graphics cards on November 3, 2022. It is barely more than a month after the marketing of the Ryzen 7000.
RDNA 3 to shade Ada Lovelace?
The Radeon RX 7000s will be what AMD likes to present as its first “chiplet” GPU. The idea here is to design a chip with multiple units associated with each other, as AMD already does with its Ryzen 5000 CPUs.
On the other hand, it is “only” a question of a 5 nm etching process with, perhaps, parts in 6 nm. “That”, because with Ada Lovelace, NVIDIA speaks of an engraving according to the TSMC 4N process. Of course, the two architectures will be in direct competition.
If NVIDIA has for it a better engraving finesse, it still trusts a monolithic design of its GPU. However, it can count on a faster exit. Remember that the RTX 4090 will already be on the market for almost three weeks when AMD releases RDNA 3.
