OnePlus will launch its first smartwatch on Tuesday next week. According to a rumor from today, the watch can map exercise, sleep, stress level, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
The watch should be able to detect training types automatically and also be able to swim with it, thanks to an IP68-rated construction. The size of the dial is 46mm according to the source.
The built-in storage is said to be 4GB and the watch can act as a remote control for televisions from OnePlus. Through fast charging, just 20 minutes of charging should be enough for a week’s battery life.
The rumor doesn’t mention which system the OnePlus Watch runs, but the battery life information speaks strongly against Wear OS. The manufacturer may have opted for its own proprietary system, likely based on Oppo’s, instead of using Google’s platform.
Update: OnePlus has confirmed that the watch does not run Wear OS, but instead a system based on RTOS.
