Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, some French e-tailers reveal the technical sheet and an availability date
French merchant sites reveal everything there is to know about the Galaxy Tab S8 tablets ahead of time.
The specs of the Galaxy Tab S8 series had already leaked a few weeks ago, and the data sheet of the new tablets from Samsung has now been confirmed by several French retailers.
Three models are expected: the Tab S8 with 11-inch screen, the 12.4-inch Tab S8+ and the 14.6-inch Tab S8 Ultra. Each version would benefit from a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Tab S8 + and S8 Ultra would have a Super AMOLED panel, against LTPS TFT for the standard Tab S8. Logically, the definition of the display increases at the same time as the size of the screen: 2560 x 1600 pixels, 2800 x 1752 pixels and 2960 x 1848 pixels.
As expected, the Galaxy Tab S8 series features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm. The Tab S8 and S8+ would have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space, while the Tab S8 Ultra would benefit from a 16/512 GB configuration.
The tablets are powered by 8,000 mAh (Tab S8), 10,090 mAh (Tab S8+) and 11,200 mAh (Tab S8 Ultra) batteries. All models have a micro SD card slot, a USB Type-C 3.2 port and four Dolby Atmos compatible AKG speakers.
Release imminent, prices to be confirmed
The photo part would be identical on the three references, with a dual 13 MP wide-angle and 6 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor on the back as well as a 12 MP front camera.
Merchant sites mention an estimated availability date of between three and four weeks. This seems to correspond with the Galaxy Unpacked launch conference scheduled for February 9. Indeed, Samsung often leaves a few weeks of pre-ordering to pass between the presentation and the marketing of a product.
French e-merchants who have already published the tablet product sheet also indicate prices, but these can be quite temporary and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. For now, the Galaxy Tab S8 is displayed at 969.99 euros, the Tab S8+ at 999.99 euros and the Tab S8 Ultra at 1,699.99 euros, with an S Pen included each time.
