Samsung’s ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ science competition winners announced

Samsungorganized by the worldwide ”Solve for Tomorrowprogramwas organized for the first time in Turkey in cooperation with the Habitat Association.

This year’s final stage of the competition was held and the winners were announced. In the competition this year, Gün Brothers Team took the first place, Lance Team took the second place and Green Planet Team took the third place. Gün Brothers Team won the first place with their biodegradable Band-Aid project, which is planned to be produced from waste pomegranate peels. The second prize came with the network leakage monitoring system, which was developed to respond to leaks in the network system. The third prize was won with the project that enables to recover the energy consumed by the washing machine.

Among the jury members of the program this year, United Nations Coordination Specialist Halide Çaylan, BAUSTEM Senior Research Director Dr. Defne Yabaş, Habitat Association Deputy Secretary General İsmail Metin, Yuvam Dünyam Association Board Member Özgül Öztürk, Climate Reporter Görkem Gömeç as well as Samsung Electronics Turkey Corporate Communications and Marketing Communications Leader Sibel Hür. As the first prize in the competition 10,000 TLas the second prize 7.500 TL and third prize 5,000 TL worth of gift certificates that can be used in the Samsung Online Store were given to the students.

Samsung made a statement on the subject
