OnePlus introduced two budget phones at the end of October: the N10 5G and the N100. Now it has been discovered that the devices will only receive a single update to a new Android version.
Since they launched with Android 10, that means Android 11 will be the final station. This is especially regrettable as the OnePlus 8T, which was launched several weeks before, runs Android 11 from the start. In other words, the single update means the phones are just catching up.
Additionally, according to Android Central, the devices only receive two years of security updates — one year less than the norm. OnePlus says in a comment that the scope of updates is industry standard for “smartphones in more affordable price ranges”.
