Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir, “We are continuing our efforts to make Samsun a brand city in every field. We are carrying out the smart city project with ASELSAN to bring a radical solution to the traffic problem in our city. Within the scope of this project, functionality will be increased by both speeding up the traffic flow and modernizing the geometric structures of the intersections. In addition, within the scope of the project, control infrastructure such as red lights and faulty parking lots will be established in order to prevent possible accidents and to reduce accidents at black points.

“With the works we will do at the intersections of Atatürk Boulevard, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Boulevard, 100. Yıl Boulevard and Abdullah Gül Boulevard, traffic flow will be accelerated by real-time intervention. Travel times, average vehicle stop and delay times on the traffic road network will be minimized. Environmental pollution will be prevented by reducing fuel consumption, toxic gas emissions and noise pollution. There will also be a reduction in red light violations and traffic accidents.” made statements.
