Vivo announces 40 new cities to receive 4G+; check out!

Until July to Vivo will take the fastest connection to 77 cities in Brazil

New cities receive 4G+ from Vivo

The mobile operator Vivo announces the expanding your 4G+ coverage for 22 new cities until july. Thereby, 77 cities will have mobile internet twice as fast as the current 4G.

The company works with three 4G frequencies available in each of the municipalities: 2600MHz, which already existed, the 700MHz which is gradually being released and the refarming in 2G in the 1800MHz band, which provides better signal transmission quality indoors, ensuring more efficiency for the corporate market and for the Internet of Things.

The activation of the range of 700 MHz follows a schedule stipulated by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications and Anatel, which depends on the turning off of analogue TV in certain municipalities in the country.

4G+ Benefits

Carrying out activities on your cell phone is much faster, whether it’s surfing the internet, downloading videos, music or uploading photos to social networks. The use of the 700MHz band, for example, is also more efficient for the Vivo, as allows you to bring mobile broadband to more municipalities and remote areas at a lower cost than at other frequencies.

For the 2017-2019 triennium, the company announced investments of BRL 24 billion (excluding any investments in licenses) in its operation. This amount is intended mainly for the expansion of 4G coverage, 4G+ and expansion of the network of Vivo Fiber to the consumer’s home.
