Vizio TV now receives support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit

As soon as LG started implementing support for this Apple technology for 2019 4K TV, Vizio also follows. Vizio is one of the companies confirmed to provide support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit to television earlier this year. For this reason, it now releases a firmware update for compatible televisions.
Vizio has released an update for SmartCast 3.0 software today that adds support for AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. However, the update is not immediate for all supported TVs. The company cautions that updates may take several months to reach all supported models.
Antenna Out 2 will make it easier for Vizio TV owners to stream content from a Mac or iOS device on the largest screen in their home. They can use HomeKit to control smart objects and even control the TV using Siri voice commands.
Vizio has an advantage over other manufacturers that add support for these functions. Compatibility with SmartCast TV will work until 2016, so these models will also receive this update. That was impressive enough for Vizio to decide to extend this until now and it was something that his clients liked.
