Voice activation of the assistant does not work in Wear OS, Google is working on a solution

In recent months, many Wear OS users have been unable to activate the Google Assistant by saying “Hey Google,” according to a problem reporting thread. For those affected, it is still possible to start the assistant through a physical button but not with the help of the voice.

Google says it’s aware of the issue and will help its partners fix the bug and improve the overall experience. The first bug report is from at least 3.5 months ago and affects several different models.
