The Chinese manufacturer will officially present its OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G in a few days, on February 17, 2022. However, its technical sheet has already leaked on Twitter ! On the menu: a very beautiful screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and, for the first time, a slot for micro SD card.

We can say that OnePlus has a string of announcements since the group formalized, last month, the OnePlus 10 Pro which will be available soon in Europe.

Always this small punch in the upper left corner

Although it is interesting on paper, we can not help but have a feeling of deja vu in front of the characteristics of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G revealed by Ishan Agarwal on Twitter…

Its beautiful 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD + screen, HDR10 + compatible and equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, would be limited to a refresh rate of 90 Hz, like its predecessor.

Moreover, the screen of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G released in the summer of 2021 already had the small punch in the upper left corner which would carry, here, the same 16 Mpx selfie sensor.

At the back, there are also few changes with a photo island quite similar to that of the OnePlus Nord 2. Thus, the smartphone would carry a main sensor of 64 Mpx accompanied by an ultra wide-angle of 8 Mpx (119 °) and a third 2MP sensor.

The whole would weigh 173 grams for 7.8 millimeters thick. The novelty concerns the storage space of the smartphone which will be expandable, for the first time.

Indeed, a micro-SD card slot should make it possible to extend the internal memory of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G by 1 TB.

Inside the next model of OnePlus, we should find an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor engraved in 7 nm, coupled with 8 GB of RAM. It would be accompanied by a Mali G68 GPU and, of course, a 5G modem.

The smartphone will carry the same 4,500 mAh battery as its predecessor, but this time it will be compatible with the 65 W SuperVOOC fast charging system, when the previous model had to settle for 30 W.

For those who stick to their wired headphones, the smartphone would have a 3.5 mm jack port. It is expected to launch in early summer in a single configuration, namely 128 GB of internal memory, and preloaded with Android 11.

As always, according to the Chinese manufacturer’s policy, OnePlus plans to give it access to two major Android updates as well as security patches for three years.
